Beckford Counseling & Training Services:
 
Over the years the bulk of my work has been dedicated to getting clients on a genuine path toward healing after they've spent countless hours and resources on mental health services with little or no benefit. I have worked with clients who had been in therapy for years prior to our meeting; they couldn't identify their treatment goals, they received no "homework" to advance their progress between sessions and they were still struggling with the same problems and symptoms that led them to seek help in the first place.
 
A counselor's good intentions and "nice" demeanor do not make up for lack of knowledge, skill and experience, and counselors without compassion, enthusiasm and dedication are not deserving of a client's trust. Consider this, we wouldn't pay an auto mechanic week after week to attempt to fix the same problem over and over again... 
 
Don't be impressed by titles or credentials: ASK QUESTIONS! A license to practice doesn't mean that a service provider is particularly skilled, dedicated or the right match for your needs.
